Cartoons Kids Are Watching in Chile
Many children in Chile enjoy funny and exciting animated shows. Bluey tells warm stories about family and imagination. Pokémon Horizons has adventure, friendship and fantastic creatures. Miraculous follows young heroes who protect their city. Kids also continue to laugh with SpongeBob SquarePants.
Try this question in English: Who is your favourite character, and why?
Toys & Collectibles
Building sets are great for creating houses, vehicles and imaginary worlds. Pokémon cards are also fun to collect, trade and use in friendly games. Some kids like soft Squishmallows, miniature figures and cute bag charms. Others prefer board games such as chess, Dobble or UNO.
Remember: trade fairly, look after your collection and include everyone in the game.
Sweet Treats & Candies
Chile has many colourful treats. Super 8 is a crispy wafer covered in chocolate, while Chocman is a soft cake snack. Frugelé candies are fruity and chewy. Children may also enjoy cuchuflí, Suny sweets or crunchy Ramitas at a party.
Treats are best in small amounts. Share with friends, drink water and ask an adult if you have a food allergy.
Books & Stories
Papelucho is a classic Chilean series about a creative boy and his everyday adventures. Mystery fans can investigate cases with Quique Hache, Detective. Readers who enjoy mythology may like Percy Jackson, and children looking for funny school stories can try Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Reading for ten minutes a day can teach you new words. You can begin with a comic, a short story or an audiobook.
Music & Dance
Music can make English practice exciting. Many young listeners enjoy energetic K-pop, songs from animated films such as KPop Demon Hunters, and the funny music of Chile’s 31 Minutos. Clean pop playlists are also useful for dancing with friends.
Choose an age-appropriate song and listen for repeated English words. Then invent a safe dance routine. Step, clap, turn and smile!
Hobbies & After-School Fun
Football, basketball, volleyball and skating are popular ways to move after school. On rainy days, kids can draw comics, make friendship bracelets, build models or learn simple coding. Some children enjoy chess clubs, dance classes or exploring nature with their families.
Say: I like playing football or I love drawing comics. What hobby makes you happy?
