Sunday English Adventure!
Today is Sunday, October 4, 2026. It is spring in Chile! Hello, English explorers! Let’s talk about stories, games, snacks, and things we love. Read aloud and try a new word today!

Cartoons Kids Are Watching in Chile
What is on your family’s watch list? Familiar favorites for children in Chile include Bluey, Pokémon, and SpongeBob SquarePants. These are examples to explore, not a live popularity ranking. Available shows can change by channel or app.
Bluey enjoys imaginative games with her family. Pokémon stories mix friendship and adventure. SpongeBob has funny adventures under the sea!
Say it: “My favorite cartoon is Bluey.” What is your favorite cartoon?

Toys & Collectibles
Building bricks, Pokémon cards, toy cars, and board games are familiar choices for many children in Chile. Build a tiny town or play a game with your family!
English challenge: “I have a toy car.” “I like board games.”
Collect for fun, not to have the biggest collection. Ask an adult before buying or trading, and respect other people’s things.

Sweet Treats & Candies
Have you tried a Super 8 wafer, a Chocman cake, or a cuchuflí? These are familiar treats in Chile. A cuchuflí is a crunchy wafer tube, often filled with manjar.
Say it: “The wafer is crunchy.” “The filling is sweet.”
A small treat can be part of a snack. Enjoy different foods, drink water, and ask an adult to check ingredients if you have a food allergy.

Books & Stories
Open a book and visit a new world! Papelucho, by Chilean author Marcela Paz, shares a child’s curious view of life. Dog Man, by Dav Pilkey, tells funny comic adventures. The Wild Robot, by Peter Brown, explores nature, kindness, and belonging.
Choose a Spanish edition or try a few pages in English with help. Pictures can give you clues!
Say it: “I read a book.” “This story is funny.”

Music & Dance
Clap, step, and smile! Songs from Chile’s 31 Minutos are a familiar family listening choice. You can also enjoy a family-friendly movie song, such as “Try Everything” from Zootopia.
For a Chilean dance connection, try simple cueca steps with a teacher or family member. Choose songs and videos with an adult, and keep the volume comfortable.
Move and say: “I can dance!” “I can clap!”

Hobbies & After-School Fun
Football, cycling, drawing, and making crafts are great ways to have fun. On this spring Sunday, you could draw a flower, fold a paper animal, or kick a ball with friends.
Wear a helmet when cycling. Play in a safe place and follow your family’s rules.
Ask a friend: “Do you like drawing?”
Answer: “Yes, I do!” or “No, I don’t.”
